Hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle
Resource Efficiency and Climate Change, Material Efficiency Strategies for a Low-Carbon Future, published by the UN Environment Programme in 2020, defines a hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle (HFCEV) as: ‘A type of electric vehicle that uses compressed hydrogen and oxygen in air to generate electricity and power its electric motor. This vehicle could carry a battery.’
